Daan Dhyan yagya at Rejuvenation 14 Jan

Makar Sankranti ( transition) or Uttar ( North) ayan ( movement) indicates the northward journey of the Earth on the celestial sphere. A marvellous phenomenon of marking how the Microcosm represents the Macrocosm.. how the Change brings the Newness to every coming moment and how the Connection to every passing moment brings life to Present.
The same transition occurs in the human body as well and the Spiritual aspirants who take benefit of outside nature go ahead in their Northward journey. starting with the winter solstice on Dec 21st, the transition occurs as the Sun moves in Makar Rashi on Jan 14/ 15 and ends at the Summer Solstice on June 21st.
If one gets aware of the changing phase outside and understands the inner system too, he or she can get enormous spiritual benefits. And if one can see all the happenings moment by moment… s/he will KNOW… all that is knowledgeable!
The tilt of the earth on North Pole is at the farthest angle from sun on winter solstice but the distance is minimum, just like the Sadhna Path in Dhyan Yog, this is the turning point towards Param Pad.
The period of Uttarayana is observed as the one mainly for heightened consciousness and Yog and Samadhi and Dakshinayana is mainly of cleansing, preparation and Sadhna. One complements another and the cycle goes on till the aspirant reaches the Ultimate Goal of Param .
