JAGRAT BHAV – awake O Man , before it’s too late !!!

(An educational wing of Rejuvenation – A Spiritual Foundation)
_Six monthly assessment of children and distribution of report cards_
Over the past 6 months, Jagriti has flourished out of a post-Covid era experiencing a surge of new admissions following the Guardian Angel Program. Along with holistic development of each child, Rejuvenation has also started supporting the parents on financial front, and more specifically providing the mothers with employment opportunities. Yesterday (7th September) marked the distribution of report cards which illustrated a highly personalized six-monthly assessment of each kid, made possible by a remarkable teacher-student ratio of 1:4. Amalgamating the best of the East and the West, each student was assessed over four major categories: Academic, Social Behavior, General Behavior and Spiritual Development. The attendance was also noted, along with physical health and mental well-being.
For a professional assessment, Jagriti joined hands with Health City Hospital Lucknow for a free health check-up camp on 15th August (Independence Day), under the noble initiative of Dr Sandeep Kapoor, Dr Darshana Kapoor and other senior doctors gracing the day. Various health indicators were measured for each child, including blood group, eye check-up, vitamin levels and nutritional deficiencies. A health report-card was then made for record keeping and follow-up.
The camp was accompanied by a joyous celebration of India’s 75th Independence Day, wherein children and volunteers alike showcased a highly-spirited love for their country. A tribute to the flag by Principal Mrs Kumkum Khosla and a speech on True Freedom by Aparnaji was followed by a melodious rendition of National Anthem and Vande Mataram by Mrs Sushma Agarwal. Dr Sandeep Kapoor also shared a message for the children. The highlight of the day was the march past, which was very professionally led by a Jagriti Kid and took everyone in the flow. Tricolor balloons were then released by President Sameer Nevatia and Aparnaji to greet the Indian skies.

Under the leadership of Founder, Aparna Nevatia, Principal Mrs Kumkum Khosla and Secretary Mrs Namita Kakkar, it was established in 2013 and now caters to the all-round needs of 65 children in Lucknow)

After school centre:
We initiated JAGRITI on December 2016, a coaching centre designed specifically for children of domestic helpers, most of which go to government schools, where the quality of education is very low. These kids also face domestic violence regularly, as almost all such families are riddled with unhealthy home atmospheres. In such a scenario it becomes impossible for these kids to develop individually and be anything better than their previous generations. To break this cycle, Aparna ji started this coaching centre free of cost, to not only educate them in mainstream textbooks, but also emotionally, through spiritual education. To make the change complete, we also have parent-teacher meetings every other week, to educate their parents on similar lines.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr Sandeep Kapoor, Dr Navneet Tripathi , Dr Kavita Pathak, Dr Anand Kumar, Mr Harish Vikram Singh , Mr Amit Pandey, Ms Poem Dwivedi and the entire Health City Team for a very successful free health check-up camp for the kids coming form lower economic strata at Redhill school, Jopling road, Lucknow, on 19th August,2023 at 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm.
After careful checkups all children were given health cards declaring:
Name, Age, Height, Weight, BMI, Vision Test (Screening Only) undersigned by the medical officer.

With sparkles in theirs eyes and on the diyas that were spreading golden lights kids of our Jagriti school celebrated Pre- Deepawali function by Rejuvenation with joy and enthusiasm . Guided and run by Kumkum Khosla Jagriti is proud of our happy kids who meditates , dance , chant mantr and study lovingly and with full capacity .
They learned to not burst crackers and understood the logics behind Ganesh Lakshmi pujan . Returned home happily with loads of stuff like Murti, new clothes , sweets , diyas oil baati , etc .
